Hopefully they allow me enough characters to express it! When you and I talked last summer you really pressed me on ‘who I am and how I wanted to show up’ in that conversation has stood out so much and it keeps coming up when someone asks me to introduce myself. In the micro podcast when Julie asked you what you do for fun, that really punched me in the gut because I no longer can identify fun vs work because now it all seems like work. I had to really think about what is actually charging and inspiring me and if what I’m doing isn’t, why am I still nurturing that activity or fostering that relationship? I’m still working on identifying that! Might have to re-read your book but please keep showing up every Monday! You really inspire me & I need your wisdom!
So much yes to this! "Work" as an occupation of our time and energy never seems the right lens. Maybe "play, with responsibilities, and a sense of duty and caretaking for ourselves and others in the process." Here's to you, fellow shoulder popper ;) Safe travels home.
Soo on point with what I needed to hear today! I swear Holley is in my brain sometimes!!
Haha, like attracts like. Thanks for reading, Mariette! Which part stood out most for you?
